New Member

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in joining the Bunbury Swimming Club. The Club is a year-round competitive swimming club, with a mission to provide every swimmer, regardless of ability, the opportunity to become the best they can. We are a family friendly swimming club and our swimmers range from beginner competitors to elite athletes.

We have training squads at various levels, from Junior Development to National Performance, and provide a competitive pathway in both, pool and open water swimming. Potential swimmers must have completed RLSWA Stage 8 (or interstate\overseas equivalent) to be ready for our squad swimming format. Members have access to quality coaching, strength and conditioning opportunities (as appropriate for their age and ability), regular club time trials, club nights and can enter local, regional and national sanctioned swim meets.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our registrar, registrar@bunburyswimmingclub.com.

Becoming a Member

Bunbury Swimming Club membership is for a period of 12 months commencing from the 1st October of each year, although swimmers can join at any time during the year. The minimum starting age is 7 years.

It is a requirement that all swimmers have at least one parent / guardian registered as a member with the club and also be registered with Swimming Western Australia (SWA).

How To Join

We offer all potential new members with 3, free - try-outs. At the first try-out, the swimmer will be given a short assessment with one of our coaches. This will ensure we find the right squad appropriate based on ability and fitness. The swimmer will then be given the opportunity to join one of our squads and see if they enjoy training. Try-outs are held Mondays at 3:45pm (assessment) and then 4:00pm to 5:00pm squad try-out.

To become a new member and organise a try-out, follow these steps:

  1. Complete our online form - link below.

  2. Our Registrar will then email to confirm the try-out date and time. Bookings are essential. Please note that we are volunteers and you may not receive a reply the same day.

  3. Once free try-outs are completed and you decide to join, you will be provided with a website link to complete an online membership registration through Swim Central.

  4. Register and pay your membership through Swim Central and you are ready to start training!

Note: A parent or guardian must also join when registering a child. The membership fee for a parent or guardian is $5.15.
