The Bunbury Swimming Club has been named Regional Champion Club for 2015/16 by Swimming WA. In front of a crowd of more than 350 people at the annual Swimmer of the Year Awards held in Perth last weekend, the club was recognised for excellence in administration, growth and retention of membership and development programs for its members.
At the same event, Bunbury Swimming Club Captain Tahlia Jensen received her medal for Women’s Under 18 years Open Water Series Champion and younger brother Jye Jensen was nominated in a strong field for the Frank Osman Memorial Shield for 13 year old swimmers.
A team of committee members, coaches, parents and swimmers were in attendance to celebrate the achievements of the Club and accept the $1,000 cheque presented by Swimming WA.
