Time Trials Wrap Up

In our last Time Trial meet for the season, a number of swimmers demonstrated versatility by entering all 5 pool pentathlon events.

It was great to see 5 swimmers improve their 200m Individual Medley time by more than 9 seconds. These swimmers included: Tiare Crowder, Claire Linaker, Noah Horrobin, Archer Southwell and Chayse Parsons.

Please accept my apologies, the 200m IM was advertised as the RAC Cup. The RAC Cup event was retired at the completion of last season and will no longer be awarded.

Points awarded for the 200m IM will go towards the RLSSA Cup which is the overall Time Trial points Champion.

The participation and improvement points winner for the evening was Claire Linaker. Claire improved her times in all 5 events. Not bad for a Friday night after school!

A warm welcome to our new swimmers Camden Smith and Stirling Smith in their first time trial meet.

With most of the senior swimmers preparing for the Rottnest Channel Swim the next day, relay points were left to the junior swimmers. The Blue team prevailed in a tight finish with Green.

The night ended with the very popular Bomby competition. The winners were judged on a combination of 'splash' and 'flare'. Stirling Smith and Jonty Richings were the swimmers choice. Taking home a signed swim cap from dual Olympian Blair Evans.
