Well done to all of the Bunbury swimmers who did a fantastic job at the recent Open Water State Championships held at Champion Lakes on the weekend. Kyle Lee finished 1st and State Champion in the 5km event for 15-16 year old boys and he also finished third overall in the event. Lexie Edwards finished 11th in the 5km event for 13-14 year old girls and Paige Runeckles finished 5th in the 5km event for 17 – 18 years old girls. In the non-State Championship events held on the day, Courtney Lee finished 1st in the 2.5km event in the U/18 girls category and also finished 1st overall in the event. Well done to all of these swimmers on their great results in a very competitive field.
