With the Bunbury Open Carnival just around the corner and 2 chances to make Cup finals, 59 swimmers took to the water. A warm welcome to Adam McQuade, Avah McQuade, Gabrielle Morris and Zenon Parsons competing for their first time at club time trials.
The night started with the Neil Earl Cup 100m Freestyle semi-final. With 6 heats and 6 places in the final, only the winner of each heat made it through. Congratulations to the following finalists:
Jye Davies, Isla Martin, Joel Davies, Hannah Hunt, Simona Vychtilova & Daniel Coleman.
The next cup semi-final swum for the night was the Davies Cup 50m Butterfly. This time swimmers in 5 heats competed for 6 final places. In heat 2, only point 0.01s separated the winner (Noah Horrobin) from the 2nd place getter (Arrabella Stewart). As this was the closest race, both swimmers have made it through to the finals. The successful finalists include:
Archer Southwell, Arabella Stewart, Noah Horrobin, Alex Saffy, Amity Parsons & Jye Jensen.
The participation and improvement points winner for the evening was one of the youngest swimmers, Jordanna Stokes (7). Jordanna improved her times in every event and scored a total of 22 points. Well done Jordanna!
