Presentation Night

It was great to see so many BSC families, sponsors and invited guests at the Sanctuary Golf Resort on Saturday night for our annual presentation night. Presentation night, this year hosted by club captains Kyle and Maddy, is an opportunity to reflect on the progress of the club and the achievements of our swimmers during the past season. We thanked our outgoing committee and President, Glenn Doust and welcomed our new committee who were voted in at our recent AGM. Many of our swimmers, from all squads, took home trophies for a range of accomplishments including age champion, most improved, coaches’ awards, cup swims and most outstanding swimmer. Head Coach, Jason Evans, thanked our coaches and members for their support during his first eight months in the job and praised the swimmers for their achievements including a 72.3 % PB rate at the Junior State Championships, 64.7% PB rate at the Australian Age Championships and three national medals across pool and open water events. He also spoke about exciting partnerships being strengthened between the Club and Bunbury Physiotherapy Centre and the South West Sports Centre. Among the night’s proceedings were two very special presentations. The Club had the opportunity to thank Toni and Chiffa for the incredible contribution they have made to the lives of our members – both in and out of the pool. It was wonderful to see Toni, Chiffa and Lydia again and we thank them for attending the evening.

It was pleasing to see our swimmers and their families having a great time and we thank all of our members, supporters, life members, sponsors, and invited guests for attending the event.
