Time Trials Wrap Up

It was a busy night at time trials with 2 relay swims, 4 Cup events and plenty of racing in between.

The night kicked off with the Ciffolilli Family Shield relay which was won by the dominate White Team. The Green Team, recorded their best result for the season, coming a valiant second. Next on the program was the Osbourne Cup 200m IM semi-final. Congratulations to the following swimmers who have qualified for the final to be held on Friday.

Olivia Humphries, Joshua Hunt, Georgia Hales, Courtney Lee, Daniel Coleman & Ross Rann

The Bordertown and Mayor's cup were also held during the evening. The Bordertown and Mayor's cups are won by the fastest female and male swimmer over 50m. Each year the stroke swum changes in accordance with the individual medley stroke order. This year the event was a 50m freestyle sprint. Congratulations to our Bordertown and Mayor's Cup finalists:

Maddison Stewart, Alice Johnson, Tahlia Jensen, Amy Duncan, Courtney Lee & Amity Parsons Kaiden Richings, Kyle Lee, Ross Rann, Jye Jensen, Rajindra Madigasekara & Daniel Coleman

The winners will be announced at the club presentation evening at the conclusion of the season. Four new swimmers competed for the first time on the night.

A big welcome to Sarah and Hayden Bone, Millie Humphries and Ty Stubbs. The highest scoring swimmer for participation and improvement points was Libby Shepherd who improved her time in every event and achieved the highest possible score of 24. Well done Libby!

The final event of the evening was the novelty relay. Our 4 relay teams had to push Santa's sleigh through the water in a high stakes competition, with the winning team receiving Christmas Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It was the valiant Green Team who overcame onesies, fairies, reindeer ears and general chaos to take out first place and an early dessert. We will now be taking a summer break from Time Trial meets and will resume with the school term on February 3rd 2017.

A reminder to all swimmers that in order to be eligible for Club Championship trophies you must now have competed in a minimum of 4 Time Trial Club meets.
