BSC Carnival a Success

B

Congratulations to our team of 58 swimmers who had an enormously successful day at the 43rd consecutive Bunbury Open Carnival on Sunday.

With a capacity crowd of 350 swimmers from 27 clubs around the State (12 of those from the metropolitan area), the level of competition was very high this year.

There were 9 individual meet records broken by visitors on the day and our Bunbury team of Amy Duncan, Alice Johnson, Maddison Stewart and Amity Parsons set a new standard in the Girls 14 years and under freestyle relay.

With the meet being the first official long course meet of the new season, a large number of state qualifying times and AA qualifying times were also achieved. Well done to all of those swimmers.

Overall, the Bunbury team won 36 Gold, 42 Silver and 32 Bronze medals and set 183 new personal best times. This is a fantastic achievement that everyone should be really proud of.
